No road closures or detours are planed for Illinois Department of Transportation roadwork projects scheduled for the area to begin in late spring or early summer.

Route 83 at Ogden Avenue and over the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad in Clarendon Hills/Hinsdale, and Ogden Avenue between from Route 83 and Interstate 355 are on tap for improvements this year by IDOT.

Work on Route 83 includes a bridge deck overlay and bridge joint repairs at Ogden Avenue and over the BNSF tracks, according to IDOT. That $2.2 million project is scheduled to be completed in late fall.

No detours are planned for the $7.2 million resurfacing and sidewalk ramp repairs on about 6.5 miles of Ogden Avenue, between Route 83 and Ivanhoe Avenue in Lisle, which is about a half mile west of Interstate 355.

Construction is expected to be completed in the summer of 2020, according to IDOT.

IDOT’s 2019 program includes more than $1.5 billion for projects on the state highway system and $735 million for projects on the local system.

The 2019 IDOT work includes a total of 502 miles of highways and 184 bridges to be improved or constructed. Safety and traffic improvements are scheduled at 61 locations.
