The following items were taken from area police department reports and releases. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.



Peter D. Hawn, 47, of the first block of South Quincy Street, Hinsdale, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding at 11:40 p.m. Oct. 5 at Madison and Wedgewood streets.

Enrique Baez-Perez, 21, of the 500 block of East Downer Place, Aurora, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended license, speeding and failure to signal at 5:42 p.m. Oct. 7 on the 600 block of West 55th Street.


Keiyesha M. Taylor, 38, of the 700 block of Liberty Drive, Wheaton, was charged with fighting at 10:15 a.m. Sept. 30 for allegedly slapping someone in the face who moved her suitcase, because it was blocking the entrance to the Hinsdale Metra station at Hinsdale and Garfield avenues.


Keith W. Lunn, 54, of the 16200 block of Homan Avenue, Markham, was charged with possession of heroin at 5:42 p.m. Oct. 7 after the police responded to a call about an unresponsive subject in a vehicle at a gas station on the corner of Ogden Avenue and York Road.


A resident of the 600 block of South Thurlow Street reported Oct. 5 that someone, posing as his company’s chief executive officer, texted instructions to him to buy gift cards that would be given to employees as bonuses. The victim bought four $500 gift cards and 20 gift cards for $100 each and sent the serial numbers on the cards to the suspect before he realized the text was a scam.

Property damage

Employees of Conrad Polygraph Inc., at 930 N. York Road, reported someone smashed two glass doors in the hallway at about 9:45 a.m. Oct. 6 after a dispute over an appointment.


A patient reported Oct. 5 his wallet and Social Security card were missing from his belongings when he was discharged from Hinsdale Hospital, at 120 N. Oak St. The items disappeared between 2:55 p.m. Sept. 26 and 12:30 p.m. Oct. 2.
