The following items were taken from area police department reports and releases. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.



Bianca M. Bartello, 21, of the 8100 block of West Addison Street, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and improper lane use at Route 83 and 55th Street at 3:30 a.m. April 6. Bartello also was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol because an open container of vodka was found in the vehicle.


Daniel T. Rudny, 41, of the 1000 block of Shimer Court, Naperville, was charged with domestic battery and violating an order of protection at 2 a.m. April 8.


A computer laptop and an electronic tablet were reported stolen from a vehicle in a driveway on the 200 block of East Walnut between 9:30 p.m. April 6 and 6:30 a.m. April 7. There were no signs of forced entry.

Jewelry valued at $2,500 was reported stolen from a vehicle in a driveway on the 300 block of Forest Road between 9:30 p.m. April 6 and 9 a.m. April 7. The owner thought she had locked the car but the police saw no signs of forced entry.


A woman reported April 8 that $50, her credit cards and jewelry were missing after she was moved from the ManorCare Health Services residence at 600 W. Ogden Ave. to another facility in Elk Grove Village in March. She discovered someone used her credit cards to make fraudulent purchases on March 27.

A resident of the 200 block of North Madison Street reported April 2 someone had used their identity to open a Verizon Wireless account.

Someone between 4 p.m. and 4:20 p.m. March 27 tried to withdraw $1,800 from a Chase Bank account that was not their account at the branch at 400 E. Ogden Ave. The bank did not release any money. The incident was reported April 8.
